SCE Acute Medicine Course
Our 2 day course is designed to prepare higher specialist trainees and others for the Acute Internal Medicine specialty certificate examination. Don't come expecting 'death by PowerPoint' - this course is designed to help you learn and make the learning stick. Led by an experienced question-writer and former AIM SCE Exam Board member.
On both days, registration and refreshments from 8.30am, course starts at 9am, and finishes by 5pm.
Introduction
Our 2 day course aims to prepare you for the SCE in Acute Internal Medicine by explaining:
-
How the exam is run
-
What the exam is designed to assess
-
Good exam technique
We will cover every topic in the SCE blueprint in order to give you a flavour of authentic questions, and give you an idea of the level of knowledge that is required to comfortably pass. The course includes two mini-mock exams with original questions and the opportunity for discussion and feedback on the correct answers.
This course cannot teach you all of Acute Internal Medicine in 2 days! You should have already been preparing for the exam through work-based learning, attendance at regional training days, and personal study, but the course will be an essential consolidation of knowledge and will help you focus your learning and exam technique.
